Protecting wildlife and their habitats for generations to come
Wildlife Welfare Association is a non-profit organization that began its functioning back in 2013 by rescuing reptiles & other wildlife within the city of Mumbai & its Outskirts. Working in collaboration with the Maharashtra State Forest Department and various other government agencies. Today we have expanded our work to several regions and districts. We now undertake the rescue & rehabilitation of injured or distressed wildlife & conduct awareness and educational programs with the aim of promoting the peaceful coexistence of humans and wildlife which are currently sharing the same landscape and eco-system thus trying to mitigate various factors catering to the depletion of wildlife.
In the last 12 years, we have successfully rescued and rehabilitated 12000+ wild birds, mammals and reptiles. WWA's members come from different works of life and contribute to the function of the NGO on a volunteer base. Their contribution to WWA of 100 volunteers is only out of their tremendous love, respect and willingness towards the protection and conservation of the wildlife culture.
