On 21th May 2019 we received a distress call regarding a huge snake who found his way into a residential society in Thane at late midnight. Immediately after receiving the call our rescuers Jeet Gupta and Suraj Sonone rushed towards the location of the conflict.
After searching for a while the snake which was a 6ft Indian Rock Python who found his way near the garden area was spotted, our rescuers then rescued the snake safely from the situation and later released the reptile back into the wild after following proper protocols . Thane Forest Department was intimated about the same.
Monsoons are now approaching which drives all the reptiles in search for food & warm places thus they enter houses or vehicles thus causing the conflicts.
It's about time when we start to recognize the presence of the reptiles amongst us and start co-existing.
