On 18/04/2019 team of Wildlife Welfare Association was invited at Mindspace,airoli for awareness session on snakes.
An awareness program was conducted by our volunteer Deepak Bhangirath, Mayur Dalvi and Ashish Salunkhe.
Around 70-80 security, maintenance and housekeeping staff attended the session.
Following points were covered in the program:
â–¶ï¸ Role of snakes in nature
â–¶ï¸ Identification of Venomous and Non-Venomous Snakes
â–¶ï¸ Myths and Superstition related to snakes
â–¶ï¸ Snakebite Prevention and First aid
This was followed by the Question-Answer session and program was concluded.
Usually, Security and maintenance staff are the first one to spot or respond to the snake emergency situations in the residential area.
We sensitized them about Dos and Donts after they spot a snake in the residential area.
