On 18/02/2018 team of Wildlife Welfare Association was invited at Godrej Horizon,Undri ,Pune for awareness session on snakes.
Awareness program was conducted by our volunteer Aditya D Patil and Ravi Suresh Lohire.
Around 25-30 security and maintenance staff attended the session.
Following points were covered in the program:
â–¶ï¸ Role of snakes in nature
â–¶ï¸ Identification of Venomous and Non-Venomous Snakes
â–¶ï¸ Myths and Superstition related to snakes
â–¶ï¸ Snakebite Prevention and First aid
This was followed by Question-Answer session and program was concluded.
Usually Security and maintenance staff are first one to spot or respond to the snake emergency situations in the residential area.
We sensitized thema about Dos and Donts after they spot a snake in the residential area.
