On the occasion on Nagpanchami Wildlife Welfare Association was invited at Thakur Shyamnarayan High School, Kandivali for conducting awareness program about snakes.
Rohit Mohite Omkar Kolekar Yatin Shitole Serpentcatcher Sv Bhagyashree Gaikwad took the lead. Approximately 300 students of 8,9 and 10th class attended the seminar in two different batches!
Importance of snake in food chain and environment, myths and superstitions were explained to students. Basic first aid and Dos & Donts after Snakebite was explained to all the attendees followed by Question and Answer session. We got a great response and our cause reached out to younge generation who will help us to spread the good words about our cause and will be our future leaders!
P.S. No live specimens were used during program.
Also this Nagpanchami was celebrated as National Snakebite Awareness Day.
