Hit and run
On 8 august 2017 WWA recieved a call ,reportedly the Wild cat was hit by a car near talavde jotibha nagar , pune.
Due to immediate follow up and action taken by rescuers Vikram Bhosale and Abhijit Pawar wild cat was rescued and handed over to Bahina Bai Choudhary zoo, Katraj.
After examination it came forward that the wild cat had some minor bruises on face and a broken spine.
The wild cat was then taken to rajiv gandhi zoological park for treatment .
Now the cat is under supervision and will be released back into wild after park's vet and officials declare it fit .
In India Many national and state highways pass through wildlife protected areas .Hence many such cases are reported every year.To avoid such accidents drive slowly (in speed limit) in wildlife corridors.
**☆What should you do if you find an injured wild animal on the road ** :---
1) Try and observe to get an idea of how badly it is hurt (as long as it’s safe to do so) .

2) If the wild animal is dead take it to the side of the road to avoid further mutilation of body.
3) If the wild animal is still alive take it to a vet or wildlife rehabilitator (as long as its needful and safe).
