Cities are connected to forest therefore over the years monkeys have adapted to urban habitats .
Their ability to adapt to new habitat not only helped them survive but also their population boomed. In forest , monkeys spend about 14 hours in search of food where as in cities due to availability of ease food and water resources in abundance they spend more time in procreating.
monkeys enter societies , houses and residences in search of food. This is were the problem arises, frightened people tries to fight back or scare them away while they are just there for food. If people don't feed them at first place, they wont come there.

We see monkeys as destruction and harm to humans and property. But by far they are one of the most harassed animals be it on the grounds of medical researches or using them as a object for entertainment by monkey charmers (makadwalas). we slaughtered down forests and took their resources to
fulfill our needs, We took their homes to builds ours .and when they come in search of food we trap them ,cage them , even hunt them.
They don't intend to harm us or destroy our property. They are not here to create any problem for us , they are just here to solve there's.
They are already trying to play their part on coexistence , even we should try.
