WWA (Wildlife Welfare Association) being a registered Non- Governmental organisation , began its functioning from the cities of Thane and Pune . Within half a decade, we have spread over to the various regions of Maharashtra state. The NGO has recently extended its operations into states of Kerala, Karnataka and Odissa. WWA began its functioning back in 2013 by rescuing reptiles and other wildlife within the city of Thane. Today, we have expanded our work to several regions and states.
Our members have rescued innumerable wildlife species and ensured their safety and rehabitation. WWA's members come from different walks of life. Their contribution to WWA is only out of their tremendous love, respect and willingness towards the protection and conservation for the wildlife culture. Our members play a vital role in rescuing creatures whenever found in a distressed state. These creatures are not only rescued but examined and medicated in case of any injury or unhealthy conditions noticed. They are rehabilitated back to the closest Green area only after appropriate medical attention and being kept under observation.
The names behind emergence of WWA, Aniket Rajendra Kadam and Aditya Dinkar Patil are continuously dedicated to the study , welfare and research of wildlife . Our members function for wildlife protection and conservation, spreading awareness about environment and wildlife and striving to maintain ecological sustainability on the globe. India is blessed with rich wildlife but faces around 1 million snake bites a year due to lack of knowledge and carelessness. We have a vision to make India a country where the people can peacefully co-exist with the respective wildlife around them without fatal conflicts.
